commenced  its journey in 1956, since than it has, with immense popular

support traversed a long distance in time, crossing many landmarks. The

Golden Jubilee celebrated with solemnity, pomp and splendor, in 2005 was

one such occasion.

Our Durga idol made of Sola Pith that year occupies pride of place in the

museum and art gallery of the Ramkrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Golpark in

Kolkata enthralling visitors, Indian and Foreigners, with its novelty as

well as its sheer beauty.

In this connection we are extremely glad to draw your kind attention that

 

we are celebrating 60th Years, *Golden Jubilee Year*

*this year our theme based on Joubon Utsave at Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh*.

However while creating an opportunity for the community to worship Ma Durga

every year in a befitting manner continuous to be the most important event

in our organizational calendar, the high expectations of our members,

patrons & supporters, keep us active through out the year. We organize *Blood

Donation Camp* & *Medical Camp* every year. Republic Day on 26th. January

every year is again a red letter day for us marked with day long activity

and participation. On the day we organize a *Sit & Draw Competition*.More

than 200 children belonging to different age groups participate in this

competition with great enthusiasm. Youngsters as well as the elderly look

forward to the evening when a *Cultural Programme*, followed by the Prize

distribution ceremony is held.
