ABOUT US

Shera Para, Shera Pujo, A celebration unlike any before. Three months of non-stop participation and engagement during the Durga Pujo festival starting August right until October. Starting with Shera Para where over 250 enrolled Para’s [ neighbourhood ] will participate and create wonderful murals around the theme of DOSHO BHUJA, the ten SHAKTI’s of Maa Durga. Artists, young and old, the world famed Bengali talent will come together to create their creative renditions of this theme. Communities will come together, young and old alike to create these murals, which will then be shortlisted by judges to the top 21 Murals.
These shortlisted murals will then be voted by the people to select the winners. An unique Nerolac initiative in its first year of Shera Para Shera Pujo. These beautiful murals created by the people will become landmarks that will beautify the neighbourhood.
Also there will be a simultaneous competition amongst the registered Pujos with us which comprise all the well known names of the city.
Nine categories of awards stand to be won by the registered associations. Nerolac has kept Special new categories and selection criterions based on the extensive audience survey research and feedback.
This entire activity will be kick started with public voting in August for “THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER PUJO”, which is a pujo that you will definitely visit during the pujo. Therefore SHERA PARA SHERA PUJO announces the start of this festive season.

SMALL : Upto 250 Sq.Ft.
Awards: 1st Place (Prize Money) + 10 Points; 2nd Place (Prize Money) + 7 Points

MEDIUM : 350 Sq. Ft. to 450 Sq. Ft.
Awards: 1st Place (Prize Money) + 10 Points; 2nd Place (Prize Money) + 7 Points

LARGE : 550 Sq. Ft. to 700 Sq. Ft.
Awards: 1st Place (Prize Money) + 10 Points; 2nd Place (Prize Money) + 7 Points

Selection Process : The Art Mentors to give markings as per criterea and shortlist Murals from each category. Judges to shortlist upto TOP 21, [7 per category]. The Final TOP 21 to go for VOTING (Online, SMS & Ballot).

Criteria for judging :
Participation & Team play ,Unique Visualization,Relevant Title for the Art Work: “…………” Final presentation with beautification of surrounding, Completion as per schedule,Fair Play. Painted TAGLINE on top left “NEROLAC SHERA PARA SHERA PUJO” to feature aesthetically in the art work.

MOST SOUGHT AFTER NEROLAC PUJO

Selection Process : VOTING(Online, SMS & Ballot)

Eligibility Criteria : More than 50 years old, have won more than 5 awards over the last 10 years.

Awards : 1st Place: (Prize Money)+Trophy; 2nd Place: (Prize Money)+Trophy.

SHERA PROTIMA (Large Scale)

Selection Process : Judges Selection

Eligibility Criteria : Budget>40 lakhs

Criteria for Evaluation : Art, Design Visualisation, Usage of eco friendly material .

Awards : :1st Place (Prize Money) + Trophy; 2nd Place (Prize Money) + Trophy.

SHERA PROTIMA (Medium Scale)

Selection Process : Judges Selection

Eligibility Criteria : Budget 10-39 lakhs

Criteria for Evaluation : Art, Design Visualisation, Usage of eco friendly material .

Awards : :1st Place (Prize Money) + Trophy; 2nd Place (Prize Money) + Trophy.

SHERA PANDAL

Selection Process : Judges Selection

Eligibility Criteria : Budget > 40 lakhs

Criteria for Evaluation : Theme, Art – Design Visualization, Lighting Direction, Space Planning, Visitor friendly, Structural Prowess,Fire & Safety Guidelines adherences, crowd control, traffic and parking planning.

Awards : :1st Place (Prize Money) + Trophy; 2nd Place (Prize Money) + Trophy.

SHERA INNOVATIVE PUJO

Selection Process : Judges Selection

Eligibility Criteria : Unique innovation.

Criteria for Evaluation : Innovation irrespective of size, scale or budget without hampering the core essence of Durga Puja and with adherence to the safety guidelines.

Awards:1st Place (Prize Money) + Trophy; 2nd Place (Prize Money) + Trophy.

SHERA SOCIALLY RELEVANT PUJO

Selection Process : Judges Selection

Eligibility Criteria : Clear social cause met with during the pujo and round the year by the organizing committee, irrespective of size, scale or budget without hampering the core essence of Durga Puja and with adherence to the safety guidelines.

Criteria for Evaluation : Documented proof through legitimate paperwork, clear record of social deliveries and verifiable beneficiary details.

SHERA CHHOTO PARA PUJO

Selection Process : Judges Selection

Eligibility Criteria : Budget < 10 lakhs

Criteria for Evaluation : Energy, Planning, Involvement of community.

Awards : 1st Place (Prize Money) + Trophy; 2nd Place (Prize Money) + Trophy.

SHERA BONEDI BARI PUJO

Selection Process : Judges Selection

Eligibility Criteria : Lineage with a minimum pre-independence establishment of the family puja with continued family involvement till present times.

Criteria for Evaluation : Traditions & Lineage.

Awards : 1st Place (Prize Money) + Trophy; 2nd Place (Prize Money) + Trophy.

SHERA GREEN PUJO

Selection Process : Judges Selection

Eligibility Criteria : Clear deliverables with environmental norms met across all elements of the puja. Details for evaluation with documented proof to be submitted by the participants under this category.

SHERA PUJO – Most Sought After Pujo

A competition between the various Pujo Associations – selected through a eligibility criteria followed by public voting. The winners in this category will be chosen by the people through online, sms and offline ballot voting only. This category is to find out the popular choice of a pujo bari, that most will visit. A Pujo closest to their heart irrespective of where they live.

SHERA PARA – The Mural Competition

Artistic wall painting competition between the local talents representing various Pujo Associations and localities, mentored by qualified artists appointed by Nerolac Paints. The top 7 in each size category will be shortlisted by the panel of judges and will be listed for public voting.
